Candle Care
How to Care for Your Candles
To get the most out of your candles and ensure a safe, clean burn, proper care is essential. And remember: safety always comes first. A well-loved candle is a safely burned candle!
Tips for Candle Care:
Burn Evenly: On the first use, allow the candle to burn until the entire surface melts evenly to prevent tunneling.
Wick Maintenance: Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use. This helps reduce smoke, soot, and uneven burning.
Burn Time: Avoid burning your candle for longer than 3–4 hours at a time. This keeps the wax from overheating and preserves the candle’s fragrance.
Safety First:
-
- Always keep your candle away from drafts, fans, and vents to prevent uneven burns or excessive smoke.
- Place candles on a heat-resistant surface and keep them out of reach of pets and children.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish it before leaving the room or going to sleep.
Extinguishing Properly: Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame safely, avoiding wax splatter. Refrain from blowing out the candle directly.
Storing Your Candle: When not in use, store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration or melting.
Reuse and Recycle: Once your candle is fully burned, clean out the jar and reuse it as a storage container, vase, or decorative piece.
Candles aren’t just décor—they’re the soul of the room! Treat them with love, and they’ll light up your life (literally). But always remember: safety comes first, so you can enjoy their glow worry-free.
